In today’s digital age, every breakthrough in communication technology stirs the world. From March 3rd to 6th, 2025, the Mobile World Congress (MWC2025) was grandly held in Barcelona, Spain. This global communication industry event focused on cutting – edge technologies like 5G-A, AI, and the Internet of Things, attracting over 2,700 exhibitors from 205 countries and regions.

Chinese enterprises, especially those in optical communication, stood out with their latest technologies and products, showcasing China’s strength in communication technology.

Hengtong Group: Moving Towards Light, Leading Innovation

Hengtong Group, under the theme “Moving Towards Light,” displayed its innovations in next – generation optical communication, AI – driven Green intelligent computing centers, and marine communication. Its G.654.E fiber optic is ideal for 400G, 800G, and future Tbit/s ultra – high – speed transmission. In the AI – driven Green intelligent computing center field, Hengtong showed advanced fiber optic technologies and green cabling solutions. The SMART FTTx solution offers diverse connection products for flexible and cost – effective fiber – to – the – home deployment. In marine communication, Hengtong highlighted its global projects, products, and capabilities.

Changfei Fiber: Light Leading the Future, Enjoying Life with Intelligence

Under the theme “Light Leading the Future,” Changfei Fiber showcased innovative products and solutions in five areas: 5G Advanced new connections, AI – driven intelligent computing centers, energy internet, smart transportation, and enjoyable life. The displayed G.654.E fiber optic meets the demand for ultra – high – speed, large – capacity, and long – distance transmission. Changfei’s AI – driven intelligent computing center solution integrates core technologies for AI – era computing power. In marine communication, Changfei exhibited a full range of submarine cable products. It also presented a “vehicle – rail – light” integrated smart transportation solution.

FiberHome: Air, Space, Ground, and Sea, Intelligence Leading

FiberHome displayed an integrated digital infrastructure for air, space, ground, and sea, AI – driven optical networks, and industry – specific digital solutions. For all – optical urban networks, FiberHome created customized solutions for different network layers under AI – driven demands, achieving innovation and upgrades. In marine communication, FiberHome exhibited solutions for various scenarios. Its 24 – core fiber optic achieves a system transmission capacity of 5.29Pbit/s, and its hollow – core fiber has a transmission capacity 1.5 to 5 times that of conventional fibers.

AsiaInfo: Convergence of Communication, Sensing, Computing, and Intelligence, Empowering the Future

At AsiaInfo’s booth, the 5G-A/6G – oriented converged product of communication, sensing, computing, and intelligence attracted many visitors. It provides basic communication connection and functions like positioning and health monitoring, and uses an AI – native lightweight large model to analyze health data quickly.

Dongsoft: Smart Healthcare, Digital Empowerment

During MWC, Dongsoft, as Huawei’s partner in medical informatics, exhibited solutions for smart hospitals, urban medical data utilization, and intelligent healthcare, demonstrating Chinese enterprises’ innovation and cooperation in medical informatics.

iFLYTEK: Sparking the Future with Intelligence

iFLYTEK displayed its self – developed Xunfei StarFire large – scale model and new products based on domestic computing power. It recently launched the upgraded StarFire X1 and the StarFire Medical Large Model X1, highlighting its continuous innovation in AI.

Kunpeng: Co – building Ecosystems, Leading Technology

Through independent innovation, Kunpeng accelerates development in data centers, cloud, and AI scenarios. By being open – source and open, it has built an independent innovation ecosystem covering chips, computers, operating systems, and databases. By 2025, the Kunpeng ecosystem had attracted over 1,000 partners, covering 12 fields. At this exhibition, Huawei and partners integrated Kunpeng technology into 71 global scenarios, creating 83 industry transformation examples.

MWC2025 provided a global stage for Chinese optical communication enterprises. Companies like Hengtong, Changfei, and FiberHome showcased their cutting – edge technologies, enhancing their global influence and driving the industry’s development. With the evolution of 5G-A and AI, Chinese enterprises are expected to make greater contributions to global communication progress.
